One of the 2022 NAMM Show Milestone Award Winners was Quebec Guitar maker Robert Godin who, for the past 50 years, has been making high quality and relatively affordable Guitars for discerning players from Rock to Jazz and beyond.
“Godin guitars are unique because from forest to stage, they are North American. In fact, and we are very proud of this, all of our manufacturing is done in our own factories, located in Quebec. This allows us to maintain complete control over every step in the creation of your next instrument. By doing so, Godin’s designers and craftsmen ensure the highest possible level of quality, while adding their own personal touch, guaranteeing that your instrument is built in a manner that is state-of-the-art. From the installation of the frets to the final stages of sanding, there is more hand work done on Godin guitars than on any other guitar available in specialty shops. When you buy a Godin, you are supporting a proud Canadian family business.”

In 2020, the Government of Canada recoginzed Robert Godin’s excellence in his artistry by awarding him the prestigous and honoured Order of Canada.
I think it has been a couple of well deserved years for Mr. Godin, his in-shop artisans and the company that proudly sports his name. Well done sir!
