The Jazz Guitar Life Podcast: Ep 6 Featuring Bruce Forman

Jazz Guitarist Bruce Forman has been on the scene for a very long time and has – over the years – played with practically everybody and anybody, from Ray Brown and Richie Cole to Freddie Hubbard and the vocal group Rare Silk (Sugar anyone?). In this interview Bruce shares with us the details pertaining to his recent acquisition of Barney Kessel’s iconic guitar and his upcoming project which is to record a Poll Winners “reunion” of sorts style album with Bassist John Clayton and Drummer Jeff Hamilton. A most informative, insightful and entertaining read.

Ed note: This interview was held over ZOOM Monday, June 14, 2021 and was originally transcribed to text for Jazz Guitar Life’s interview series. After some time I thought it would be cool to turn it into a podcast for all to hear. You can read the text interview here and if interested, the review of the new album here.

Also…be sure to stick around to the end where you’ll get to hear Bruce, John and Jeff play a great version of “On Green Dolphin Street” their latest album Reunion: Poll Winners Revisitied. It’s a fun and cool chart and Jazz Guitar Life is grateful for Bruce allowing us to feature it on the podcast.
