Jazz Guitar Life is pleased to announce that Swing Jazz Guitarist John Pizzarelli, keeper of the American Song-Book flame, has just officially released a new album titled Stage and Screen where he features popular chestnuts and a few lesser known tunes from the worlds of Theater and Film.

I spoke with John earlier today via ZOOM and he is excited to have the opprotunity to share this music – and his relatively new Trio – to all who care to listen. I’ve had the album in my near-daily rotation and it is a great one! John sounds great, the band sounds great and of course the tunes are great as well. He certainly knows how to pick them 🙂
A review of the album is forthcoming and the interview for the Jazz Guitar Life Podcast will be published early next week.
This will be the second time Jazz Guitar Life has had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Pizzarelli. The first time was back in 2021 for his solo guitar homage to the great Pat Metheny. You can check out the interview and review by clikcing on their respective links.
If you get a chance, visit John’s website for more info on how to listen to and purchase Stage and Screen. I don’t think you’ll be disapointed 🙂
Please consider spreading the word about John’s new album and tour as well as Jazz Guitar Life by sharing this article amongst your social media pals and please feel free to leave a comment. We’d love to hear from you 🙂
