Back in April of 2021, before there was a podcast component to Jazz Guitar Life, I “sat” down with John Pizzarelli during the hight of the Pandemic to talk about his latest album at that time, Better Days Ahead: Solo Guitar Takes on Pat Metheny. John talked about the album, the making of the album, his relationship with Pat, his father and mother and much more. He also demonstrated certain ideas that he was working out on his guitar, which of course, you couldn’t “hear” in the original print form, which you can read here along with the JGL review which you can check out here!
